Hanbok, Korean traditional clothes[dress]

1. little me in Hanbok :D

2. Hanbok for grown-ups
This is the mini version of Hanbok top I made as a school project when younger.

so here in Korea, nearly every couple buy their new Hanboks when they get married.
but the reason why we didn't do that was because
first of all, we didn't want to spend money on something that we would hardly have a chance to wear especially when we were trying to make the wedding as small as possible. second of all, It would have been very hard to find Hanbok I like anyways.

so I decided to design one myself.
I want a slight different length than usual Hanbok and maybe a little tighter too.
one of a kind Hanbok for me to wear even when it's not a special occasion!

But I'll have to wait until December to plan all the details. It's gonna be a little different from the typical traditional Hanbok.

3. what's been going on
my parents got divorced when I was about 17 or so. I was absent from home even before that but I decided to get away from the mess completely by leaving Korea as soon as I graduated from high school.

and when I came back, my home was gone as well as all the stuff that we as a family shared as long as I could remember. they were spread all over as my family spread here and there struggling to settle.

I left again and this time I thought I was leaving for good.
but I had to come back in 2011 due to my serious and yet mysterious illness (which is cured now).

and thanks to that mysterious condition I had back in 2010 and 11, I met my husband and got married here and sort of settled a bit(although we are leaving soon again)

So I have been trying hard to locate and gather all the stuff that have been abandoned from my parents.
boxes after boxes that are untouched for 10 years...

although the process was quite stressful, I think it was totally worth it.
thanks to my husband who was very supportive all along.

① what I and my brother wore when we were babies

② childhood pictures
③ Hanbok I wore when I was 8

the skirt is missing :( which means there are more boxes somewhere out there.
