Jeju Island Trip Day 3

Day 3

Bibimbop breakfast :D

Next, Seongsan Ilchulbong, also called 'Sunrise Peak'.

On the way to Udo island in Jeju, we saw this KBS (Korean Broadcasting System)
looking like a jail or something.
Later we were told that this KBS is only a machine run facility
that blocks radio waves that come from North Korea.
Interesting.

Udo, literally 'cow island' has this name because it looks like a cow lying down.

This is where you take the ferry to Udo.

Our lunch!
Octopus Ramen.

Peanut Ice cream is really famous in Udo!

It was super yummy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Udo Mak-geol-li (Rice wine) is also famous
so we tried it for the first time the night before
and WE LOVED IT!!!!

We rented one of those tricycle things and went around the island.
You can also rent bikes or four wheel ATVs, scooters, etc.

One of my favorite pictures.
Blankets on the fence.

And then we went to the best Olle Gil, Route 7.
Highly recommended!

Jeju Gyul (Mandarin) monster!

We moved to one of the waterfalls, Cheon-jI-yeon Falls.
전지현 노노 천지연...
미얀..

Dol hareu bangs

Dol hareu bangs are large mushroom-like statues found on Jeju Island
They are considered to be gods offering both protection and fertility and were placed outside of gates for protection against demons traveling between realities.
from Wikipedia.

I have heard that if you touch their nose, you'll have a son or something...

and this was our dinner...
Maeuntang, spicy fish stew is not even in the picture...
